NBA 2k19: The New Millennium(Sleepless in Seattle)

After just managing to stay in Seattle, the SuperSonics go to work, attempting to build a better future. It's time to look at the trades for the 2012-2013 season.

- The Seattle SuperSonics trade PG Rajon Rondo(89 OVR), SF Fred McKenzie(76 OVR), PG Monty McCaw(82 OVR) and 2013 2nd round pick to the Vancouver Grizzlies for PF Austin Conley(85 OVR), SF Shane Battier(75 OVR) and PG Courtney Ford(80 OVR)-

Seattle just drafted Damian Lillard(80 OVR, 92 Potential) and already had Eric Bledsoe(83 OVR, 87 Potential) on the roster, so Rondo had to go. Conley still has 88 Potential at 26 years of age, and is signed on for five more years, making him a solid player to build around. Vancouver gets an elite defensive point guard, adding on to their stellar defense that was the second best in the NBA last season.

- The Seattle SuperSonics trade SG Brett Moran(90 OVR) to the Indiana Pacers for SF Shawn Marion(82 OVR) and 2013 1st round pick-

Seattle continues to clean out, getting rid of the 35 year old Moran, acquiring an unprotected first round pick back. Indiana gets an elite scorer who has averaged over 20 points a year for all eight seasons of his career, and will also be a great mentor for Klay Thompson(85 OVR, 92 Potential).

- The Milwaukee Bucks trade PF O.J. Delk(84 OVR) to the Toronto Raptors for PF Kenneth Faried(77 OVR) and 2014 1st round pick-

Needing a power forward, Toronto picks up Delk, who has been solid but unspectacular in Milwaukee. The Bucks get back Faried, who has 83 Potential, and a top ten protected pick.

- The Milwaukee Bucks trade PF Mathew Goodrich(83 OVR) and 2013 2nd round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for PG Isaiah Thomas(82 OVR) and SF Hubert Frye(77 OVR)-

The Bucks now pick up a new starting point guard in Thomas, who was very upset in Minnesota and still has 86 Potential at only 23 years old.

- The Miami Heat trade SF Julio McDaniels(88 OVR), SG Malik Johnston(73 OVR) and two 2013 2nd round picks to the Golden State Warriors for SF Gary Seymour(90 OVR) and PG Warren Ewing(72 OVR)-

The Heat made a couple trades to pick up some second round picks, and now deal both of them, alongside the disappointing Daniels, to acquire Seymour, who was traded for Carmelo Anthony last year. Seymour still has five years left on his deal, providing security right now for Miami but could be a big burden in the future.

- The New Jersey Nets trade PG Marvin Levins Jr.(84 OVR), PF Herbert Augmon(80 OVR) and 2013 1st round pick to the New Orleans Pelicans for PG Roland Snow(86 OVR)-

Trying to acquire a top level point guard, the Nets trade for Snow, who was excellent in a bench role for the Pelicans. Snow does only have one year left, and the Nets were forced to give up an unprotected 1st round pick, but they think he's worth it.

- The Phoenix Suns trade PG Anders Fredriksson(86 OVR) and SF Avery Bradley(82 OVR) to the Washington Wizards for PG Brandon Knight(82 OVR), SF Richard Hamilton(77 OVR) and 2013 and 2014 1st round picks-

Looking to make one big playoff push with Dirk Nowitzki(91 OVR) now 34 years old, the Wizards pick up Fredriksson, who has been fantastic the past three years, and also Bradley, who provides stellar defense and also has 85 Potential. They have to give up two years worth of unprotected first round picks to do it, as Phoenix gets ammunition for the Draft.

(Henry's Note- I'm taking a bit of a break from this series for right now to focus on projects for my main blog, but this break should hopefully not be more than a couple weeks)
